ABOUT

Sim Khera, Director,  has worked in the education sector since 2000, as a classroom-based teacher, facilitator and Educational Consultant. She has experience of designing resources, delivering student workshops and training teachers in a variety of different areas ranging from Philosophy for Children to PREVENT. During her time as a Citizenship and PSHE teacher she worked for a number of inner London comprehensives, leading successful departments which focused on promoting active learning. Since leaving full-time teaching in 2010, Sim has set up KL Education Consultants where she supports senior leaders, designs and delivers education projects for charities and works with a team freelance facilitators to meet the educational needs of organisations across England. She is passionate about critical thinking and philosophy, as she sees the development of reasoning and independent thinking skills as a key to student progress and empowerment. Her training days are always highly praised by teachers, who particularly appreciate her insightful, informed facilitation. Sim still teaches part-time and is Head of Learning for Life at a secondary school in East London.
